Automatic Billing Plan

How your payments are calculated and taken.

Updated: August 30, 2026

When you book a Luxe World Travels trip, your balance is split into automatic monthly payments. You pay the first one at booking, and the rest are charged to the same card on the same day each month until your trip is paid off.

There is no fee to use it, and no application to fill in. It is simply how booking works.

1. How your plan is calculated

Your plan length is not something you pick. It is worked out from how far ahead you book, so that your balance is fully paid three months before you travel.

That three-month mark is your payment deadline. We divide your trip total evenly across every month between booking and that deadline, and that is your monthly payment.

The earlier you book, the more months you have, and the smaller each payment is.

If you hold a coupon, it comes off your trip total before we divide, so every one of your payments is smaller.

Some trips run a low-deposit offer. When one is running, your first payment is the advertised amount and the rest of your trip is spread across the payments that follow. Your total is the same either way.

A low-deposit offer and a coupon cannot be combined. If the trip you are booking is running one, the offer applies and a coupon code will not.

An example

Say a trip departs on 1 August and costs $3,600 per person.

The payment deadline is 1 May — three months before departure. Someone booking on 1 December has six months until that deadline, so their total is split into six payments of $600. The first is taken at booking, and the remaining five are charged monthly on the 1st, with the last landing on the deadline.

Someone booking the same trip on 1 March has two months of runway instead, so their total splits into three payments of $1,200.

If the December booker held a $600 coupon, $3,000 would be divided across their six months instead — six payments of $500.

And if that trip were running a $99 deposit offer, they would pay $99 today and five payments of $700.20. Still $3,600 in total; only the shape of it changes.

2. Your first payment

Your first payment is due at booking. Unless a low-deposit offer is running on your trip, it is not a separate deposit or a percentage — it is simply the first of your monthly payments, the same amount as the ones that follow.

  • Unless a low-deposit offer is running on your trip, there is no flat deposit amount and no deposit percentage
  • A coupon comes off your trip price, and your payments are then divided evenly — so you receive its full value, not just a discount on one payment
  • If your coupon is worth more than your trip, your trip is fully covered. Nothing is refunded and no balance is carried to another trip
  • When a low-deposit offer is running, you pay that amount today and the rest of your trip is spread across your remaining payments. Your total does not change
  • A coupon cannot be used on top of a low-deposit offer — it is one or the other, and the offer applies. If you pay in full instead, your coupon applies as normal

3. Booking close to departure

If you book within about three months of departure, there is no runway left to spread payments across. In that case the full trip cost is due in one payment at booking.

This is not a penalty or a separate rule — it is what the same calculation produces when there are no months left before the deadline.

4. How payments are taken

  1. You enter your card once, at booking. Card details are entered into a secure field hosted by Stripe, our payment processor, and go from your browser directly to them. Luxe World Travels never receives, sees, or stores your card number.
  2. Your first payment is taken straight away. You will see it on your statement the same day.
  3. The rest are charged automatically. Same card, same day of the month, until your balance is clear. You do not need to do anything.
  4. Your plan ends by itself. Once the final payment is taken, the schedule closes. Nothing continues afterwards and there is nothing to cancel.

5. Reminders and receipts

You will get an email before each payment is taken, and a receipt once it has gone through. If anything looks wrong, contact us before the next charge date rather than after it.

6. If a payment fails

Cards expire, get replaced, and occasionally get declined for reasons that have nothing to do with you.

If a payment does not go through, we try again within 48 hours. If it fails a second time, we will email you to update your card. Please do so promptly — an unpaid balance past the deadline puts your place on the trip at risk, and a late fee may apply under our Terms & Conditions.

7. Changing your card

Email or call us and we will send you a secure link to update your card details. Never send card numbers by email or text — we will not ask you to, and neither will anyone legitimately acting for us.

8. Klarna and AfterPay

Some travelers prefer to pay through a third-party provider such as Klarna or AfterPay, where those are offered at checkout.

These are separate from the Luxe World Travels plan described above. Your schedule, payment amounts, and any interest or fees are set by that provider under their terms, not by us, and you manage the plan through their account rather than through us.

You cannot combine a third-party plan with the Luxe World Travels plan. Each booking uses one or the other.

9. Refunds

All payments, including your first, are non-refundable and non-transferable. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions, which govern.

10. Security

Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on Luxe World Travels' systems.

By booking with Luxe World Travels, you agree to the terms of the Automatic Billing Plan.
